I understand from those familiar with this particular PML, and who played it side by side with several vintage Loars at an instrument show, that it is one of the closest in sound to a vintage Loar, and actually better sounding than one of the Loars. Well above average even for a Brentrup in its voice. An example of how a less ornate instrument can still be an anomaly.
